"O..Okay.." She hurries out of the house, headed towards the lab which stood at the edge of town. It was the tallest building in Blythandor, and she felt even tinier with it looming over her. Neverthless, she struggles to open the door and enters, shivering.

The lab is in turn destroyed, but more so than the house. There's blood on the floors, but no corpses. The voice remains silent.

Ayn stands there, staring blankly at the blood on the floors. She feels frozen in place, too afraid to move.

".........." She breaks into a run, desperately looking for her parents and calling out to them in a tiny voice. After determining they weren't in this room she moves on, searching with increasing panic.

After Ayn slowly searches the silent, blood filled lab, the voice speaks up. "Have you searched the whole lab?"

"Y..yes I think so." She comes to a stop in the center of the laboratory. She plops down on the ground and sobs quietly.

The voice seems to be thinking. "What about...there." [i]A small door in a shadow corner lights up, blood near the bottom crack. "The basement..."

Ayn balks at the idea. "N..no.. I don't want to go down there.. It's scary down there.." She buries her face into her knees and sobs.

"Yes.. I.. dunno.." She gets up and starts towards the door, gripping the handrail as she makes her way down unsteadily.

The basement is dim, but there's blood on the steps that Ayn slowls descended down. At the bottom there's an old looking door. "Through there..."

Ayn swallows, then reaches for the doorknob. It takes some effort due to her size but she finally manages to push the door open, and it swings forward with a loud creak.

Inside the room is by far the worse seen so far. Both Yolanda and Gin Vorena lay in bloody pools, slash marks cover their cold corpses. "...Well, you found them."

Ayn screams loudly at the sight of her parents lying dead before her, although in reality she remains unmoving and staring vacantly at the ceiling.
Back in her mind she runs towards her fallen parents and collapses in a heap next to them, clinging to her mother. "Mommy.. Wake up mommy.." She doesn't notice her own clothing is being stained with the blood of her parents as she lies there clinging to her mother, and her sobs echo slightly through the basement. |

In the shadows of the room, a pair of glowing red eyes appear and a malicious snarl rings out. "Hurry, run!"

Ayn can't seem to get up fast enough. She runs as fast as her tiny legs will carry her out of there, stumbling slightly. Once out of the lab she collapses again, in a daze.

The town is now far worse than before. The sky is red, and the streets are filled with corpses of the inhabitants. The buildings are in firey ruins and the voice giggles. "What have you done, little Aynie?"

Ayn gapes in horror at her surroundings. "No! I didn't do anything! This wasn't me!!" She tries to hide from the sight by burying her face in her hands.

Gin closes his eyes and says in incantation, hoping to bring Ayn out of this coma state. But nothing changed. She laid there, the same as before. "I don't get it."

Riki walks back into the library. After leaving Cloud on the road ((sure, why not?)) she had wandered around, debating about what to do. Finally, she wandered her way back to the castle. Staring up at its bleak and desolate walls, she sighed and shrugged. Ignoring the happens-for the moment-she collaspes in her favorite chair and relaxes a little.

"Let me try one more thing." Gin put his hand on Ayn's hand, he concentrates. Another incantation, but same results. Ayn doesn't move. "No, I can't wake her up. I never seen anything like this before. Or at least, I never studied this. The best thing for us now is to wait it out. Hope that she comes around sooner or later."

"No.. This isn't real. It isn't!" Ayn wails loudly, sobs racking her tiny and frail body. She gets to her feet and attempts to run out of Blythandor.

The Red eyes creature from before appears infront of Ayn, still cloaked in shadows. "Ayn, Ayn, Ayn. I've never lied to you. On the contrary, I've shown you the truth. In the end," The figure steps forward reveal the identity of the red eyed creature and the voice. "You're not better than me."Legion grins maliciously at Ayn.

Ayn snarls at Legion, who towered over her. "Get out of here! You're not wanted!" She tries to squeeze past Legion and out of Blythandor.

Legion's grin doesn't fade as he allows Ayn to pass. "This isn't new, is it Ayn?" In front of Ayn a large bull-like synthetic demon appears infront of Ayn. The bull than begins to act as a mouthpiece for Legion, though another voice is intwined. "But unlike Avversa, it's only a matter of time before your will becomes nothing but an extension of my own. You barely even managed to be rid of him, a mere synthetic demon. Can you imagine the fun were going to have togther?!"

Gin starts getting annoyed. He bangs his cane on the ground, making a deafening sound. "What is this? What could be happening to her?"

The sound jolts Riki out of a small nap. Blinking and looking a little owlish, she gets up. "Hello again, Gin. What's going on?"

Ayn squeaks in fear "No! Get away from me!" She desperately tries to run away from them, but the forest surrounding Blythandor's ruins seem to be growing in size as she runs.

He looks at Riki, disbelief in his eyes. He gets up, approaching her. "Are you really so dumb? You come in here, get comfortable and not show respect? You see us crowded around a couch, with someone lying in it. And you call me out, the one nearest to the couch, and ask me what's going on? You're a disgrace, you filthy demon."

Riki's eyes flash in anger. "Don't call me a demon." She looks around and bites her lip. Apologizing stiffly for her less-then-perfect manners, Riki inquires if she can be of any service.

Gin looks at her fiercely. Before, he was slouching slightly, but now he straightened his back, and towered over Riki. "You don't offer help. You don't even offer your respect. We don't need your help. You're more concerned with that sword you carry around as a memento, than the lives of your friends."

'Avversa' only laughs as Ayn runs into the woods.
Once inside the woods, Ayn is left momentarilly alone. However, soon the sound of someone singing and moving through the trees of forest. Glimpses of Legion can be caught as he spins by, setting fire to everything he touches. |

Cloud looks up from Ayn and smirks at Riki's comment. It was true that all the Abbis except Ayn and Jekin were full of themselves. Sure they were strong, but it was him that took down Rand, not Lara or Gin. Both of whom were Abbis. He had begun to hate the race, but Ayn had clouded any other thoughts of hatred twoards them. "Why don't you two settle down? You're not helping her at all."

This was the last straw for Gin. It was the first time he got mad that entire visit. "Begone!" Again, he pounds his cane down on the ground. This time though, Riki disappeared from in front of him and reappeared outside of the castle, which was now magically closed off.
Gin then turns around, and heads back to the couch, magically pushing Cloud out of the way, upset with him too. |

Cloud had stumbled back and grown very ill with the old man. He began shouting at him. "Listen old timer, you've known this girl a DAY. You've never been her father or taken care of her at all. Now you want to act high and mighty and think that you can actually make up for lost time. Well in my opinion Abbis, thats not how it works here! You provide her with answeres to her questions, not with the love of a father or the care of a friend. Why are you here anyways? You're not helping anymore so why don't you go crawl back under the hole you were living in for God knows how long!"

He does not make any movements towards Cloud, nor does he look at him. But he speaks to him in a clear, and loud voice. "I do not have to prove myself to you, Strife. I came here to give answers, I understand better than any other that I'm not the one to be a father now. I only came to explain things. And I will leave when I please."
